Thomsen is a Minnesota native most noted as the author of the American Satanists' series of books. Thomsen has been writing professionally since 1995 when he began work at a small, backwater newspaper in rural, central Minnesota. Thomsen bases his writing on supposedly true events but refuses to specify in any great detail. For many years, Thomsen has been referred to as a recluse, finding serenity on his farm among Scandinavian
immigrants near the tiny hamlet of Little Sweden, Minnesota. Although noted for his books on lascivious horror, Thomsen will soon be releasing his first work in the Young Adult genre. The novel, "Giggles Goes Gone', is a coming of age novel about a boy on a search for his lost cat in the treacherous woods of northern Minnesota. Giggles Goes Gone will be released in March of 2016.
